Lowrance update?

    I have a 522 ci..how do you know if it has been upgraded. Downloaded the upgrade to a chip…put it in and nothing seems to happen. Upgrading from the 2.4 version to 2.5. Thanks.

    How to see if your LMS-522C iGPS is already using version 2.5.0 software:
    Press the MENU button twice on your LMS-522C iGPS.
    Select SYSTEM SETUP.
    Select SOFTWARE INFORMATION.
    The software version for your unit is located under the line that says “LMS-522C iGPS” (ex. “Version 2.5.0”).
    If your version is the same version listed above, there is no need to download the software.

    It is currently running 2.4. Will that change if it accepts the upgrade?

    Yes it will change to v. 2.5.

    Make sure you power the unit off, load the chip, and then
    power it back on. It will load automatically.

    You should also make sure the update downloaded to the card.

    The problem I had when I first did updates is when it asks to save or run on web site you need to click run not what ever else the choice is! then let it do its thing and it will prompt you what to do and get it on a card just don’t use over a 1gb chip
