What chip to buy?

I have a Lowrance 522 and am looking to get a chip for it. What chip should I be looking at buying? I fish pool 8 90% of the time and would like the depth contours as well as the wingdams. Thanks!

I am not familar with pool 8 but i went from navionics to lake master on pool 4 and millacs and it was a good move,just my opinon i would say lakemaster hands down

I am pretty sure navionics does not have wing dams marked. I have a navionice chip and it is ok but I got the chance to use a lakemaster chip this past summer and it was outstanding. The contours are 1 ft on most popular lakes. You can check the site to see which lakes have the 1 ft contours. I am pretty sure lakemaster has the wingdams marked too.

Go with the Lakemaster Chip. I have mine sitting in front of me right now and it shows contour and wingdams for the entire pool.

Keep in mind the river is ever changing. Just because the contour on the map shows a certain depth, doesn’t mean it is. Sandbars can form in relatively short time.

I’m on the other side, got a brand new LM chip laying around someplace I used a total of 3 hours before putting it away and putting my old Navionics back in, for the hype the LM get it sure is tough selling a brand new chip… To be fair I don’t fish the pools only lakes…

Have both nav and LM- both have their own advantages- never had any issues with navionics, flawless and always works. Only issue with LM is that I don’t have an H20 C, just a regular H20 gps and the new lakemaster chip has to be sent in to be able to work on that unit. No problems with my boat units but when I came to realize this on my first ice adventure this year I was . On the flip side I was very impressed LM answered my phone call -I think it was a Sunday, and I was able to talk to an actual human being. That was pretty incredible in my opinion.

Lakemaster has everything you want for pool 8 including wing dams.
