Sent my HDS7 in for service, started with the GPS not being able to find itself. I delt with that the last month of the season figuring I would send it in off season and use my hand held. Then 1 day it would not turn on at all. Checked all the fuses / wiring etc. It all looked good. Sent it in after talking to the service rep and in a few weeks I recieved a spanking new locator

Glad to see they took care of you. The only problem I see is that it took a few weeks. IMO if it is under warranty, the next weekend I want to go fishing if I am not going to get mine back they should at the very least give you a loner.Service should also be based on how fast they get you back fishing

In my experience if you bought the unit from a stocking dealer, they will make the arrangements for you and provide you with instant service. I had two Lowrance issues that Wade from JollyAnn Marine took care of immediately and I got a new unit in the mail pronto.
If you bought it from Amazon.com or at Walmart etc… you then have to deal with the company direct…that takes a lot more time…no matter who it is. JMHO

They have had my HDS 5 since November 10th!!!!!! Same problem, it wouldn’t power up. Got my RA#, sent it in to San Diego (which they told me to!) Waited 7 days to check on it and they told me they had no idea. I thought I would wait another couple days to call again. Recieved a call out of the blue later that day and it was a supervisor stating that I shipped it to the wrong place. I told her I shipped it to the place that the “RECORDING” told me to. My paperwork that came with my unit stated Tulsa, OK, but the recording told me San Diego. She told me they had phone problems and that’s why it told me the wrong place. Couldn’t the person on the phone just tell me where to ship it instead of having to listen to a recording of where to ship it. Anywho, she told me they would ship it over to Tulsa and get to work on it asap. That was over a month ago. When the hell is that place going to be open again? I keep calling and get a recording stating they are closed for a meeting. What the heck is that? Maybe thier phone system is messed up again.
I had problems with a h2oc a few years back, and had to send it in twice, but they finally shipped a brand new one, and it’s been working fine for years now. But this is way out of hand.

x2 for Tom. I had issues w/ a StructureScan unit I bought from Reeds. Printed out the RMA, brought the unit and the RMA into Reeds, grabbed a new one off the shelf, and I was on my way.
