Sent my lgc 4000 in under warranty. Waited almost 4 wks to get it back. Ken tells me they send them over for total disassembly and component testing- – They sent the same puck back. I put it on today and it still doesn’t work. So much for thorough testing and evaluating the part. And yes, the gps does work with another puck. I’m really a happy camper jerr

Which unit do you have it connected to?

Does the unit need to be updated?

I had to call to get the 1.8 update on an LCX-17 to get
the 4000 puck to work with it.
The 1.8 wasn’t available on the Lowrance site.

Everything’s current, (5200C) it worked for a couple months and then kapoot! I’m done- -I’ll run my lgc 3000 for the duration and then drop the whole thing in a hole somewhere and start over somewhere else. jerr

It may be that the software in a 5200c Chartplotter just works better with the LCG 3000 and not the LGC 4000. The LGC 4000 is alot faster and may not be the best for that unit. Put the 3K back on and sell the 4K.
