I have had almost no time on the water this summer but I plan on changing that this fall. I was out on Sunday and noticed my Vantage TM would put up interference on my LSS1 screen but not anywhere else on the HDS7. Also, I have the water temp overlay on several of my screens but no temp is given. Do I have an installation problem with the LSS1? Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

How close is the vantage to the LSS-1 ducer? Does it happen on the downscan and/or the side scan? This is and extremely sensitive ducer and does not take much to interfere. The water temp on one screen is exactaly what my units do and im pretty sure that is a software update because my buddy just had his updated and his now works.

I would guess your interfernce is coming from being to close together. As for your your temp display try and totally remove it from all your screens and then re-install it and it will probably work again.

    Good luck

My vantage is on the starboard side of my 1825 ProGuide. The ducer for the Structure scan is as far to the port side, with the big motor and 2d ducer in between, that I can mount and still be on the mounting board. The interference only happens when the prop is turning on the Vantage and does not happen when deploying the vantage. It happens on the downscan but not sure on the sidescan but If I was going to guess it would the same.

Is you LSS-1 and HDS on the same battery? Is your LSS-1 on one of the same batteries as your vantage? May be static interference throught the wiring and not through the water….

My Lss and HDS are on the same battery. My Vantage is on 24vlt separate batteries but if I remember correctly the motor to deploy the Vantage is 12 volt and I am not sure which battery it is hooked up to. I will have to check that out. Unfortunately I am on the road until Wednesday but will report back then. Thanks for the help!
