Lowrance X-27 water temp. reading issue

So I was out fishing last week and I noticed the water temp. reading on my lowrance 522c thru the factory transducer was at 67 degrees. A very believeable reading. The reading on my X-27 thru my Minnkota US2 unit was 100-105 degrees. So tonight I swapped the 2 units around and the wacky temp. reading of 105 stayed the same in the X-27 going thru the factory transducer this time and the reading on the 522c thru the Minnkota US2 was at 73 degrees. So I concluded that the crazy temp. issue is with the X-27 and not a temp. sensor issue with either transducer. I even removed the temp. sensor reading on the overlay data and then put it back on and it still read 105 degrees. What do I do to correct this. I believe I have the most up to date software version. Do I need to do a soft or hard reset to fix this? Help!!

I am not exactly sure what this could be. Couple of things to try. In the sonar setup menu under transducer type try selecting Generic 200 or PDT-WBL. Another option would be to try a hard reset (remember to save the user data first.) To do a hard reset Hold the Zin/Zout (continue to hold until the warning screen appears) while powering the unit on.

Warning!! When you do a hard reset this will delete user information like waypoints, routes and trails that you have saved and reset all settings to their factory defaults. So again, be sure to save all your user data before preforming a hard reset!

    Thanks,
I will try changing the transducer type and if that doesn’t work I will try a soft reset, then a hard one if it still isn’t right.

    Water temperature problems:
Both units on my boat flash “32 degrees” for water temp. On the bow is an LCX28CHD coupled to a brand new Minkota Vortrex 101 US2. The adapter cable is from the old Maxim US2 trolling motor. At the console there is an LCX 27C. There is a temperature sensor mounted at the rear of the boat and the puck is glued to the floor. Everything works on both units, except for the water temp. Both units have updated software, I’ve tried the soft reset and the hard reset, but neither worked. I need help. Thanks.

    Ray,
I never did get mine to read correctly. Soft and hard reset didn’t help at all. I’ve also got a 522c that does read right so I ignore the temp. reading on the 27c.
