LGC 4000 update

I got my new LGC 4000 antenna tonight and I believe I read on this sight that I would have to download some kind of an antenna update to both my units (Lms 332C and LMS 520C) for the 4000 to work. They have been working with the LGC 2000 for several years. I was on the Lowrance website and cannot find what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Bring the unit with you sometime when you come to town. Cappra’s or Fish Electronics on Univ Ave in Columbia Hgts can update them for ya. Maybe if you’d ask, Thorne Bros might be able to update it also- jerr

I don’t beleive you’ll need to do an update to make the 4000 work. There is an update for the HDS units that optimizes the LGC 4000, but this update, at least to the best of my knowledge wouldn’t work on the LMS series. I still might not hurt to check your software version in units to latest updates Lowrance offers.

Thanks for your help guys. I will hook it up and see how it works. I have an MMC card so I can check on the latest versions and update if necessary first. Will let you know how it works.
