Anyone ever have this problem with their H2OC?

Sometimes (not every time) it switches to internal battery power when plugged in with the cig lighter external cord. Pretty irritating when your out in the middle of the pond and it wants to run off the nearly dead internal batteries, then shuts down because of low battery power. So I put new batteries in it, same thing. I know what your thinking, no power at the cig lighter or check the fuse, clean the connections at the plug, yep did that. I even had my buddies h20c in the boat, plugged his into my cord and his worked fine.

lowrance had some issues with their power cords, i am on my third one and they all did about the same thing you are talking about, my h2o had to have good batteries or it wouldnt run at all. you should be able to power up and the the units on just external power with no batteries installed.

when i run mine off the cord, i remove the batts. if that doesnt work, you most likely need a new cord. if you need one, give their service hotline a call, i have had nothing but good experiences with them.
