Ok, I’m trying to get my HDS8 to load up my Lakemaster Rainy Lake LPWRC10 Version 3.1 chip. I can’t get it to show any details I don’t have much time behind this unit and I need to get up and running fast. I am sure I am not doing something right. PLEASE HELP!!

    1) Make sure your putting it in the slot the correct way. (don’t laugh, I did it)

    If that wasn’t the problem…

2)Call LakeMaster, it might be too old of a version. (Click on the banner at the left)

    3) When you have the 8 running and plug in the card, does it say “loading charts” in the middle bottom of your display?

I removed the chip it and plugged it into the right hand slot and it did say “Loading Charts” so I think I have that fixed.

One more question if you could help, my unit shows “Unknown Transducer” when I go into the list there are a bunch to choose from. Which one should I select? There is an option for “Generic 83/200” but that doesn’t seem right?

I don’t have mine here otherwise I would be out looking.

You should have the 50/83/200…someone will show up with the answer for you.

To find the model number of your transducer to select it from the list you found, look at the chrome/silver tag on the cable of your transducer. It can be found near the end of the transducer cable that connects to the unit.

When you find it choose it from the list and hit enter. This will insert it into the box, hit save and you’re done.
