    Question….

I’ve got a new HDS-5 I’m mounting on the bow.
Wish to tie that into my 2004 Minnkota PD w/ univ. sonar and AuotPilot.

I’m getting conflicting answers to which adaptor cable I need.
    MKR-US-10 and MKR-US-5
Is either correct? If so, which one? If not, what is the correct part number.
Lastly, where can I order/pick one up?

    Called Hummingbird/Minnkota
“…….too new and don’t have the updated cross reference sheet. Contact Lowrance.”

    Called Lowrance
    “…..It should be MKR-US-10.”

I’d like to just do this once and correctly.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Great!!! Thanks! Now that’s narrowed down.

Any idea where a guy can get their hands on one?

I can only find the MKR-US2-10.

I bet Wade from Jolly Ann Marine could hook you up with one.

The old universal sonar adapters can be hard to find. I’d google the part number.

EDIT: Just tried my suggestion and didn’t have much luck. I’ve had this same problem trying to find adapters for my Maxxum. Hopefully someone on this site will have one sitting around that they’ll sell you! That’s how I got the last one I needed.

There is no MKR-US-10. There is only the MKR-US2-10 or the MKR-US-5. The difference in the two has to do with the motor, not the sonar unit. Both are for Blue-connector units.

The #10 is for newer Minn Kota motors that have US2 and the #5 is for older Minn Kota units that have the old US1 built in. Your 2004 motor must be US1 so you would need the MKR-US-5. You can check the motor to see if it has a plastic adapter connector instead of a metal one. The new ones with US2 have a metal connector.

    Here is one at Amazon

(I know they call it a gray connector but it is the correct one for blue connectors as well.)
