H2O c question…….

When I zoom in, the unit will lock on for 10 seconds then jump back out to the 8 mi. range. Am I missing a setting to fix this? Tried a re-set yesterday and the unit worked fine for a few hrs. then it went back to jumping ranges again. Still under warranty but hopefully I’m missing something in the settings…….Thanks guys

That’s a new one. I’d request an RMA online and have Lowrance diagnose the problem.

I’m not aware of any setting that would fix the issue.

So a reset didn’t cancel the goto??

You would think it would but I don’t know how much a soft reset really does. I was getting so frustrated one day trying to zoom in to pick a spot on the structure I was fishing but it would zoom right back out before I could see my options. Enough tinkering and eliminating variables and finally figured it out. By the way, this was the first time I have been able to help with an electronics question, stuff is confusing to me on all levels but happy it worked.
