Installed My LSS1 and connected it to my HDS-10 and HDS-8
Boat is sitting in the garage.
How do you know if the LSS1 is on I dont see any lights on the connection box ?
I turned on the Structure scan
    Menu
    Menu
    System
    Advanced
    Features highlight all 3 bubbles

Then by using the pages button I could see the structure scan options

I turned on the simulator on the hds-10 and It took a while
but I got it to work for the structure scan and when I turned it off the screen for the structure scan read “No Sourse”. so what does this mean ?

If I check the LSS1 transducer I dont feel anything ? Should I feel anything ?
Does it only work in water ?

I know other guys will have the same questions

There are two wires that need to be powered. The red wire, which should be fused, and the yellow wire which should be on a switch. black negative and Blue not used

I am installing LSS1 as we speak. I want to run the yellow and red to a fuse block that is switched by my master power switch. Is it OK to run both the red & yellow this way?

    Thanks!

Yes. Or if you used the HDS power cable you can hook the
yellow wires together and it will power the LSS-1 when you
    turn on your HDS.

I just put in a HDS7 & LSS1 if you hook up the two yellow wires, you don’t need to hook the yellow from LSS1 to a power source is that correct? because the LSS1 turns on when I turn on power switch even tho the HDS7 isn’t on does this hurt anyting?
    Thanks Stan

I just got done installing my 10,7, and LSS-1. I hooked up my yellow wire with the yellow wire from my hds 10. After going through my installation, I don’t see any point in hooking up the yellow to a seperate switch unless you were planning on mounting the LSS-1 some distance away from a unit where the power cords are too far apart.

That’s exactly right Jeremy. Connecting the yellow wires together is the prefered installation. This way there is a one button push to turn on both units.
