I have some tracks on a Garmin handheld for some uncharted rivers in Canada. I would like to get these moved over to my Lowrance as I will be taking the boat with me now instead of using the camp boats. I can’t seem to find a way to easily do this.

Has anyone done this before? What format do the tracks (trails) have to be in? The waypoints were .usr files but not sure what needs to be done for the trails.

If your looking for a free method – however, I haven’t tried this yet:

There’s lots of software out there to do this, one of the simplest to use is Easy GPS. http://www.easygps.com/

Save the Garmin data to a card, load it into your home computer and use Easy GPS to convert to Lowrance USR. Then save that file to your card and load it into your Lowrance units.
