HDS5 showing wrong direction

    Anybody have their HDS unit pointing about 10-15 degrees off your real direction of travel. If I restart the unit it corrects itself.

    check loose spare wires at hook-up end of your hds power cable, those for nmea 0183 (see manual). if exposed/touching/grounding could cause directional issues with internal gps antenna. so i’m told. no prob so far for me but i taped them.

    I checked and rewrapped the wire as you suggested–no more issues. thanks
