Lowrance HDS7 after sowtware update????

    I completed the software update, thought everything was ok until I checked a local Lake that was on the hotmaps premium ’09 list as a “HD lake”…..the problem is there are no contours what so ever. This seems to be the case for a few lakes that I’ve checked on. Most lakes do work fine however. Any helpful hints to my problem? Any Ideas would be helpful, Thanks in advance!

    Did you select the correct region from the Navionics Map Choice dropdown menu?

    I just came back from Cabelas and they were running Navionics chips in the unit to make sure the update came across clean. The funny thing is they put an 08 and an 09 sd prem North card in and it had pretty much everything except one little region in NW Iowa. East and West Okoboji were not visible but Spirit Lake was?? None of their employees could figure it out. One of the guys that works there knows a lot about all the electronics and he thinks it’s a glitch in the update so he’s sure there is gonna be another update shortly to fix this one. We did this in an HDS5 unit.

    LAST POST………….Exactly the region (okiboji area roughly to Clear Lake area roughly) that does not work on my hds7. Any idea yet of when an update may be coming? Stinks when you spend that kind of $$ and not running right yet, I’ve had my unit for 2-1/2 months, 2-1/2 months of headaches. May have it all figured out by the time the ice sets in again!

    I contacted Lowrance about this issue and this was their response.

    “This problem has been reported to our engineering department and they have verified the problem and are currently working on a fix. The problem does appear to be affecting a relatively small number of lakes and should be fixed very shortly. Please keep an eye on our website and as soon as a fix is available we will have it posted to our website.

    The new updated fixed the Navionics map loading problem. There is no region options on the HDS units when using a Navionics.
