I just put an lcx-112C on my boat, but don’t have the external antenna. If I remember right it uses the LGC-3000. Does anyone know where I can find one? My other option I think would be to network it via NMEA2K cable with my HDS 8. I am only running internal antenna on that though so i’m not sure if it will work? I still feel a little skeptical running my two main units on one internal antenna, but it could be a temporary fix. Has anyone linked an older unit to a HDS? Anything I need to be aware of?

    Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I think it came with a 1000 puck. You are better off buying the latest puck. They are certainly better than the older ones. You just need a software update for it to work with the unit. I know I had to do this with a 111

It came with a 3000, but it will run on a 4000 also.
I currently have my older units separate from the hds touch I got this spring. I figure I have a backup in case of a failure of the internal antenna.

The LCX Models can ruff off a LGC 2000, 3000, or 4000.
You will be much happier with the 4000 as it’s much faster and the 3000’s had issues.

There is still one listed on IDO Classifieds under fishing equipment. Otherwise there’s many places that sells them.

That unit will run off a LGC 4000 puck fine. I also just happen to have a new one in the box here at the store!

Sweet thanks guys! For some reason I was thinking I had to run it off the 3000, and was having trouble finding it. I will pick up a 4000 and be on my way!
