    Just upgraded from a 527c to a HDS 10 w/ StructureScan. Are there any advantages to networking the 527c to the HDS 10?

    I would imagine you can share waypoints back and fourth. Or does it have to be 2 hds in order to do that?

    not sure if this helps but i know you can link a lcx 27 and a hds unit…nmea 2000 starter kit #000-0124-69

    i googled it and it came right up

    Biggest advantage is sharing waypoints like mentioned before. Networking 2 newer units like HDS together gives you more options with sharing data
