^ Exactly. That and a nasty gram (polite) to the CEO of Navico and a few folks at SiriusXM.

In a nutshell I explained that the CS I’ve received in the last 4 years from SiriusXM was the exact same experience I received from Lowrance a few years back. I predicted the same results sooner or later and (although not trying to run their business) Lowrance would be best off breaking ties with SiriusXM before they are dragged down with them. Along with sending a link to this thread.

I re activated my account last night (using a credit) and so far, it’s worked like it should but one evening doesn’t make a track record.

At least now I have a direct contact that appears to know the difference between a boat and a car along with knowing the inner workings of the In-Land Weather hardware.

I restarted the service using the $40. credit that wasn’t worth anything for cash value.

I had a thought that since I have a battery switch that would shut all electronics down, this might be causing an issue if I turned on the HDS before the net work router our Sirius module was up and running.

Although the manager that contacted me said this wouldn’t make a difference… it does.

I haven’t had a problem with the weather showing “no service” since I started turning on the master power, then waiting a few minutes before turning on the HDS unit.

    Back in business.
