Cannot get the LMS-520c to recognize the GPS from the new LGC-4000 any suggestions. I’m being told they are compatible

I beleive the LMS 520 is blue connector NEMA and the LGC 4000 is Red. Did you get the adaptor to go from Blue to Red?
Also, did you terminate ends of NEMA network?
Were you using an external before?
Go into menu settings and then into network and see if the 4000 shows as a device.
I sure thought they were compatible too.

this is the exact setup I have on my boat, for the GPS you can use a 2000 or 3000 not a 4000 with the 520c

I sure thought, that by converting the blue to red connector network that the 4000 should work fine with faster rates.
I have nothing to back this with though as I’ve never used the 520

    Good luck

Is your 520c running the 2.5 software version?

Yes the 520 runs on a red colored network cable. According to lowrance the only two gps (puck) that will work is the 2000 & 3000.

    It’s on their compatibility list.
