Anyone been following the Motorguide/pinpoint connection with Lowrance? It appears they, along with some direction from The Next Bite guys, have developed a trolling motor link to Lowrance gen 2 units.
I’ve been considering an update to H-birds for this, but maybe I’ll wait to see how this all plays out. I would like to see one in action and compare.

I have a friend who is a lowrance rep and he says there are things similar to your input that he says are on the horizon. How long it will take, who knows. I’ve got a bad ticker and time is of the essence. I need a system not just superior components that fall short on total ability.

I would get a hold of Brett King. He really seems to know what is going on with them..

I saw Chase Parsons doing a demo of the two on the Next Bite show this morning. After some net surfing, I’ve found this product to be available right now/spring 2014. I hope they have it available for viewing at the Boat Show or the Sportsman’s show. I’d like to see it for myself.

They had a demo unit at the SBC open house this weekend. Looked like a pretty nice unit. Some similar functions to the terrova, turns faster and much quieter. I still prefer my terrova though.

I ran motorguide for years until I couldn’t wait any longer for them to come out with Ipilot like features. Have been running Terrovas for 3 years. I’m on my second one and have had problems on both. Never had a problem on any of my motorguides. I look forward to going back.
