I just bought an HDS7 with 10.39.31 as it’s current format

I contacted Lowrance and they emailed me the newest upgrade which says 2.0-45.135

I downloaded the file to my computer, saved it on an sd card
then followed the instructions by shutting off my unit, inserted the sd card and the directions say that software update will automatically install

Directions say that :after the install is complete, remove the card, the unit will restart.

Well i had the card in the unit for about 10 minutes then pulled it out not knowing if it was done installing or not.

But the unit never restated on it’s own

So i go to check the software version and the application number stayed the same and did’t upgrade it to the new application number.

Did i take the card out too soon?

I also checked my diagnostics and it said i had 128 tx errors?

    What’s that mean?

Are you sure you downloaded the software on the sd card?
Are you sure you were dowloading the software on the unit?

I would repeat the steps and see what happens.

if it’s a zipped file you have to unzip it ,thats how my last update down loaded to me.

this is right — it is a zip file from website

unzip on PC first then load unzipped file to SD disk
make sure there is nothing else on SD disk before loading

now insert SD disk into unit and turn on — it will load and reboot by itself

let us know if this was your issue — Good Luck

pretty easy — even a Cave Man can do it!!
