Plotting trails on hds5 gen 2

Hey guys I have a couple questions. I seem to have misplaced my owners manual for my new hds 5 gen 2. When trolling I wanna plot my trail and then hit a way point every time I catch a fish so we can stay on them. How do I go about this? Thanks for the help guys

In your chart page, you will want click menu, then scroll down to waypoints, routes, and trails.
Hit enter, and scroll right to trails up on top.
Hit enter, then make sure the display and record are highlighted or have an X.
You can also chose your color of choice on this page. Once record and display are activated, hit save and exit out. You should then have a new trial from that point on.
You can save, name, and edit trails and start new ones at any time also.
Once your trail is being recored on chart page and you can see it, you can hit enter to save a waypoint.

I have a bunch of those trails, most of which don’t seem to have any waypoints.
