Last night I was out working in my boat moving my Lowrance x-27 to another spot in the boat. When I powered it up I kept getting a GPS module not responding warning. This has happened in the past and all I had to do was unplug it and replug it in and it would work. Tried shutting down several times and nothing. The puck is the 3000 model. Any ideas?

Do you have a separate switch for the network?

Did you disconnect any terminators on the ends of the
    network?

Mine will act up is the power connection is not real good. Running it inside a garage or maybe even the great weather we had yesterday might effect it to. Seem to have some power lines going over the river on pool 2 that want to through mine off every now and again to.

If you know someone that has a 3000 puck to test if yours is bad would at least shorten the trouble shooting.

My son figured it out. I am in the process of swapping the locations of my LMS522 and X27 units. I assumed the power cords were identical as they are both the blue lock nut type power cords and both have the identical number of female pin contacts, but apparently not all of the pins are powered on the 522 cord as it is an internal antennae. I swapped the power cords to the proper units and blammo, the GPS puck started working. What a relief that it was something so simple.
