So my new HDS-8 has a constantly flickering backlight. It goes completely dark to where I can barely see it (after cupping my hands to the screen). I don’t think it’s a power issue because the unit doesn’t turn off, just the display does. Any ideas on what I can do?
I have 2 hds8 gen 1 everyonce inawhile i have that problem and all i do is shut it off and turn it on… problem taken care of for the day… for me there is no rhyme or reason for the problem and haven’t gone any farther than checking the basics and found nothing wrong…..

I’ve had same issue before. As last resort, do as last post said and reboot, else sometimes if you tap the power button you can see brightness option. Once you try to make change , it will fix it.
I get that issue every once in a wile on both my HDS units. The only way I could get it to come back to normal is to power them off and back on. It doesn’t happen very often.
