Hi Is there a way to look at your GPS points on a laptop. I hooked up a card reader but it wont read the points. I have a lot of extra spots and figure since the boat was in storage and I pulled the two heads out I would just delete the points on the computer. Thanks

Can you just view them on the head unit and delete the ones

    you don’t need.

I have contour pro mapping software that I could import all

of my waypoints onto and then delete from there.

I would then export the waypoints I want to keep back onto a card and load them back onto the head unit.

I would have to delete all on the head unit prior to reloading the waypoints I want to keep.

with humminbird you can export the data to an SD card and then their software will allow you to view them in Google Earth.

EasyGPS is the product I use to manage all of my waypoints. It allows editing and viewing of waypoints via a Bing sat maps browser session along with numerous other functions. And, it’s free.

I have a x25 up front and and HDS 8 in the back. I borrowed a card from a buddy for waypoints. It uploaded all the points so now i have several number 001 002 etc. Problem was I did not know which was which and it filled the memory of the front one where it would not accept anymore waypoints. I used the Easy GPS trial verson and that was enough to see where they were and i deleted the ones i didnt want.. Thanks Guys

Glad it worked for you. Note that there is a free version also available for download – the trial version is the one you pay for but has more features, of course.
