I am not even a Lowrance guy and I find the lack of talk about the Lowrance HDS12 Touch coming out surprising. I would think at least LOW would attempt to make a buzz about this.

    Well TODAY is:
    National Static Electricity Day
    January 9th, 2013
Static electricity: fun for sticking balloons to your hair, bad for touching doorknobs after crossing a carpeted room in your socks. This phenomenon occurs when two surfaces rub together and electrons jump ship, leaving one surface too positive and the other too negative. Now you know how it works, but good luck trying to avoid it.

I think as people see them more in person you will hear guys talking about them but for the average guy they aren’t going to be purchasing a 12. The 7 and 9 are going to be sweet units, no more structure scan module and with the added ethernet ports networking units will be easy.

I haven’t heard about using the units with gloves on but I know they work perfectly with wet hands or wet screen.
