how to convert elite 5 to elite ice machine ?

Can I convert my elite 5 dsi to an ice manchine, and if so how do I do it?

Pretty sure the DSI will not work for ice fishing, but don’t know the exact reason. Something to do with not being able to use the ice ducer, too much power.

Was talking to a guy at cabelas and they did sell a ducer for it to be used on ice but if your anywhere near anybody using flashers you’ll be setting off all the other flashers and the elite would be scrambled too since there isn’t a IR button

I should just buy a flasher than. Thanks

I think that ducer only works on the elite 5, not the elite 5 dsi. The dsi is 800khz which would likely fry the ducer.

Ice ducer is 200,DI is 800/455. It will fry your ducer.
Might work for a while but not for long.

He was pointing at the dsi since that’s what I was asking him about. But like I said this was cabelas so there’s a 95% chance the guy didn’t know what he was talking about.
