Have you downloaded the current updates to youre unit? If you have call lowrance and talk to them. The response time is very good now.

Cant remember exactly what page it is on but go into the menu on the GPS side. There is a page where you can change color of track lines etc. there will be a box to increase track length change that to 9999. Whats happening is your track is now set to go so far and after that it starts to disappear.

My guess would be you are running past the pre set 2000 points a trail can mark before it starts erasing.
There is a menu to increase this to 9999, but another option is save a trail, then start a new one. You can always go back an look at the saved trail. You can follow that trail and if you want, can change the color of the new trail to overlay on the old if that makes sense.

Again, this is only my guess and not saying there”s something not wrong with unit marking trails.

Try starting a brand new trail and make sure you’ve got it so it records and is being shown on screen.

    Good luck

Try this. Do not turn off the unit while you are leaving an
active trail. You should first turn off the active trail, and
    then power off the unit.
