Lowrance will not shut off

    Hit a big wave and my HDS8 at the bow went out. When I powered it back up it would not read my Navionics chip and now will not shut down. Power it off and it just powers itself back on. Any ideas?

    SOL. Hope its under warranty. I have had the same thing happen before. Have since switched to bird.

    Try not to hit such big waves or slow down But on a serious note I have never heard of this problem. Sounds like something internal could be wrong I would give Lowrance a holler.

    Had similar issue with a LMS 522 right before it died

    Check your power wires and make sure they are hooked up correctly. Pull out your lowrance manual and follow the diagram according to what you have for a setup.
