Make sure your Map Data selection is Lowrance and not
    Navionics.

Take chip out and re-insert. Make sure the micro sd is there and seated properly.

If this doesn’t work ship me the HDS unit and I’ll have
it back in working order sometime in October.

I’m lost on this one. Do you have another chip you could
try. Can you try that chip in another HDS?

If you have the 1 foot contours the names should be there.

I put it in the 113 in the boat… It works in that unit…

It must be a setting someplace deep inside !!

As far as I know this is a problem exclusive to the Gen 2. No fix.

Couldn’t you take the info from the other chip and make a waypoint where the flat is?

HDS 10 Gen 2 on boat shows flats names perfectly with Lakemaster chip. With recent updates. I think Fife’s uncle had this same problem a few weeks back on his HDS 10 as well……Fife?

Just got off the phone with Lowrance… great to work with…

The 4.1 no longer is compatable with the LM chips… has all the contours and such but the names of the reefs and bars do not show up…

they are sending me an SD card to back me down to the 4.0 too

Just to throw my 2 cents in here, I read that someone commented that Navionics is not that great on Millelacs, they have done a bunch of cartography updates and it is an excellent choice for Millelacs. Just a reminder to check out the Navionics website to see if your chip qualifies for the Freshest Data program. Another cool feature they are coming out with is UGC user generated content, you can record it send it to Navionics and they will then update the cartography and you will be able to update your chip with this new data.
