x51 problem

Bought a new side scan bird (), so I want to move my old Lowrance to the trolling motor up front. Problem is, biggest reason I got a new one is because I get no screen on the old one. I know the unit is getting power, because if I hit my menu buttons, it chirps, but I have no display at all. I did notice when I removed the transducer that there was a small nick in the wire under the water line. Could that be the problem, or is the unit just shot? Need to know if it’s worth it to try to get it working, or just go buy a new, cheap unit for the bow. Thanks for any insight.

Sounds like the display is done for. Also with the cord marred there should be transfer issues from sender to receiver. Enjoy the new model and maybe look for a used one if you really want the bow mount.
