    Hi to all!
I am new to the forum and looking for help with my problem.
I intend to buy a Lovrance Elite-5 DSiFishfinder / Chartplotter I wonder whether it is possible to use two different transducers (455/800 kHz and 83/200 kHz). The attached with Elite-5 DSi is 455/800 kHz with finer resolution but max.depth is only 76m. So I would like to buy another transducer with 83/200 kHz.I could use it for greater depth of 76m.(Sea)
Now I do not know if I can use two Transducers on Elite-5 DSi and how.
Is there a physical switch to switch between them or they are connected to an interface that provides data to sonar.

    Regards

A Elite 5 DSI Is a down scan unit only so it will not work the 2D transducers, you will have to but a Elite 5 capable of running a 200khs transducer or get an HDS 5 and get the Structure Scan Module then you will have it all

Welcome to IDO! Glad you hopped aboard.

This is a little bit beyond me, because I kinda simplified things on the boat, and now have an Elite DSI, and am loving what it’s doing for me. But I’m interested in this topic….going to keep an eye on it for sure.
