Transducer question!!

    I am wondering about being able to use a thru hull transducer on my Lund Explorer. Would I still get the same results/ readings from the thru hull that I would from a transom mount. The reason I am asking is because the transom mount transducer just recently broke on me and if I have to by a new one may want to look at something that is protected better than hanging off the back.

    Aluminum shoot thru won’t work like stated, I have heard of the Alumaducer but no experience
