I am unable to mark a trail once the unit is lock on. I beleive that i have the setting for trail turned on. This is my first HDS unit so unless there is something that i am missing or something i am overlooking, a little help is needed.
Go to your pages key and hit until it comes up to Waypoints, courses and trails.
Arrow key over to highlight trails, hit enter.
If there are no trails showing click down to new trail and click enter.
It will ask if you want to record (the round spot should be highlighted meaning it will record).
You may click over to right and chose which color trail you prefer (I like the magenta perosnally but lots of times I save thaty trail and mark over with new different color).
Once all this is done it will ask do you want to save, click on yes.
Then exit to a mapping page and see if you are now marking a trail.
If you want to continue that trial on another day or after shutting off, go page to pages menu and just click that trail to show record again.
I hope I made sesnse of this. I’m not sitting in my boat so going off memory.
Anyone else have input to this instruction?

I learned a lot from You Tube about the Lowrance Gen 2 systems, a lot of walleye and bass pro’s will put short video clips up explaining some features like leaving a trail. You Tube Video for setting up Trails
