Problems with my LMS 525c DF’s

I have 2 of these and they both quit working at the same time. The sonar chart stops and starts giving me no depth. the GPS mapping works fine. I have had transducers go out and that never stops the sonar chart. I would chalk it up to an old unit but both doing the same thing with no problems before? I hope someone has an Idea.
P.S. A new transducer didn’t fix the problem

    Jason,

Could you elaborate little on “The sonar chart stops and starts”?
    For example:
    – When does it do this? (i.e. Starting the main motor)
    – Are these units networked via NMEA 2000 and /or ethernet?

Have you tried only one unit on the boat?
Do you have a friend that you could test your head units
    on his/her rig?

Are you 100% positive the “new transducer” is good?

Just a few ideas to start with for you.

I would just throw them in the lake and go buy a bird! We will have to hook up and I’ll bring my LMS unit, power cord and ducer. It only gets used for ice fishing now. We can change out each piece. I would disconnect the networking to see if the individual units work.

Yes they are networked, I did try each unit on its own in each spot. I have to run new power wires from battery to unit temp and see. But the mapping works gps. Tad I’ll have to drive up tuesday when I drop the dogs off and see if they will work on your setup.

I wired new mock power wires just over the floor and still no go but I changed from 200 KHZ to 50 KHZ and then the sonar worked? I’m not sure if that worked before going to try on the dash mount spot now, changing to the 50 KHZ it would be nice to have the bigger cone but at least I have some sonar. I hope someone has a clue whats happening. The GPS mapping works fine. I would really be happy if somebody has seen this. I even tried with a new transducer right from factory.

    Jason,

Is this the new transducer that you referred to in
    your original post?
Is there a silver tag on the cord with the model number?
    If so, what is it?
What are you selecting for a transducer frequency (200 khz or 50 khz) in each unit’s Sonar Set Up?
