I just installed a HDS 7 gen 2,at the counsel and was wondering if there were any settings that i should adjust to make the unit work better, faster, clearer, etc.?

Just getting the sonar set up is all you should need to do and then make sure you have a trail created. Get familiar with the unit if its your first HDS so you aren’t wasting time on the water.
Some basic setting for sonar are: Shallow water use, transducer type installed(HST-WSBL), colorline 70-75%, Freq 200hz, auto sensitive, ping speed 15-max.
