    hi Steve,
I can not think what LDML is, but it probably doesn’t matter.
I’d say, any Navionics chip is not going to behave like any Lakemaster chip. They have their own formats and info. You might be able to find an original Lakemaster chip for CA. Many large box stores did buy out the last of the Lakemaster chips before they went totally Hummingbird.
    Good Luck
    Jack

I don’t believe Lakemaster has a Canadian chip, Navionics does either the Prem-c6 or HMPT-C6 hop over to Navionics.com and see if the lake you are looking for is listed. The Beauty of Navionics is they give you the option to update or download new cartography to a new chip for a year for free,

If you do a Google search on “HMPT-C6: Navionics HotMaps Platinum Canada” this will lead you to my company’s Fugawi store that explains the HotMaps Platinum C6 chart collection. The content for Lac Des Mille Lacs is good, lots of detail except in (obviously) marsh areas. In my photos section I’ve uploaded a sample screen shot of a random spot in the HotMaps Canada collection for that body of water.
