1.8 update for lcx17m

    looking for the 1.8 software update for a lcx 17m to be able to run a lgc 4000 antenna

    Lowrance download page shows that latest update for that model as 1.6. You might try to contact them, but it is unlikely that ever expended the resources to create the version 1.8 for that unit if they don’t have it listed.

    now this is where it gets really weird…

    i downloaded the v 1.6.0 and took it out to install it.
    the X-17 wouldn’t do anything with it.
    so i dug a little deeper.

    the version ID’d ON MY MACHINE,
    was v 1.8…

    i do not remember EVER upgrading it…

    and WHERE did it come from???

    Ive tried that update but that update is for the actual software in the puck and only for the 2000 puck it wont work on the 4000 it comes up with no applicable device.

    Call lowrance and ask them to email the file to you. Now that I think about it, that is what I did when I changed to a 4000 puck with a 520c
