As we all know Lowrance has had some…. less than good transducers in the last few years. I got about 2 years out of my last one till it quit working last summer. Im preperation for the next inevitable failure I am curious if:

Is anyone aware of an aftermarket MFG. for Lowrance transducers with a longer life span? -Mark

Only other transducer mfr I have heard of is Airmar. I bought and installed one of theirs last spring for the same reason you are looking. It’s a BIG sob! Like 5 times the physical size. I think mine is installed a bit to deep, it kicked up on me in some big waves on Millacs once. It does have a more narrow cone angle then the Lowrance. Fairly easy to find with google search of Airmar. They run about $120 and I had to buy online, no one I could find local who sells them.
