    Hi,
I’m going to buy sonar HDS-8 2gen + LSS-1 and do not know how best to buy a transducer for shallow water depths up to 20 meters (50 ft)?
I care about the quality of transducer.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Use the one that comes with it

I’m new to this serious sounding and could be totally wrong but I read somewhere (cant find it now though)that you need a 83/200 for water that is less than 900 feet and a 50/200 for depths of over 900 feet.I’m going for the shallower option myself and hope this is correct.Does anyone know for sure?.

The 83/200 ducer that comes with the HDS unit is the best for the traditional sonar and the transducer that comes with the LSS-1 is the only one that will give you the left, right and down views of Structure Scan. You need both, one for each type of sonar, and they both come standard in each package.
