I’m having trouble with a Navionics Permium North chip in this Unit. It shows the contours on Mille Lacs just fine. Red Lake shows the contours but the numbered depths are wrong,…too deep. I can only see the outline of Lake of the Woods but no contours. I had to load the chip in my H2O this weekend,…pretty frustrating. I’m still stuck on the older Lowrance series,…any ideas?. Thanks

Is LOTW listed as a high def. lake on your chip?

    How far off is Red?

NAV Prem N has SOME depths on LOW but not many. This sounds odd but there are actually better depths for LOW stored in a different file in the map location folder. (open up different parts of the state and check LOW to find it) The lines are still very lousy and there are not reefs labeled.

However, NAV is a poor chip for Mille Lacs, red, whinnie , p4 and LOTW. If you do or are starting to fish these water I would get a Lakemaster ASAP for the HDS. LM maps are much better quality and accuracy then NAV.

I would highly recommend the LM series and just so you know LM has a separate LOW chip. The LM for Lowrance has been discontinued so availability is low but its very much worth the cost if you plan on fishing these bodies.

Agreed,…I’m trying to find a Lake Master chip.

When I get to the files on the HDS,…it doesn’t open,…says 0 bytes when I click on the Navionics,…either not recognizing it or loads automatically??

I believe we have 2 or 3 still that are LOW/rainy chips that are LM.

Let me know if your still looking!!
