I’m wondering if there is such a thing as a “T” so that the US2 on the terrova can be used by either the bow mount graph and a rear of the boat graph?

Is there such a thing?

That’s a good question Chappy!
Lowrance guys, if networked through ethernet, and having the front unit hooked to terova US2, can the other units be set to use that sonar source? I have never tried, yet alone thought of it.
Curious minds want to know.
ThanksFebruary 14, 2012 at 12:00 pm #1038685What got me thinking about it is, When I jig, I’m in the front of the boat, But when I’m going to be trolling, I’ll be in the back of the boat. I think now that I think of it it’s called a network. Which means I’d loose the transducer in the rear of the boat.
February 14, 2012 at 12:09 pm #1038691I believe that on Humminbird’s you connect each of the transducers to the appropriate Head, then the ethernet or maybe interlink connection is between the two heads. then in the transducer menu, you choose remote and choose the other heads transducer. not sure if Lowrance does it the same or not.
February 14, 2012 at 1:39 pm #1038733If you network your front Lowrance to your rear Lowrance via the ethernet connection, you will be able to view the sonar from the Terrova on the rear unit and visa versa. You cannot however, view both front and rear transducers on one unit at the same time. When networking is turned on, both units will display one or the other, when off each will show the transducer to which they are connected.
Workaround: If you have structure scan you could split screen and display the front sonar on your rear unit and also show the downscan/sidescan from the structure scan transducer.

X2. Ethernet connection is your solution.

What Aall do I need…Ethernet cable and what else?
You need the ability to take that cable with the yellow ends, and screw one end into one unit and the other end into the other unit.
In other words, all you need is the cable. Connect the two units together and you are good to go. If you want to connect more than two, you need a hub of some type, like the side scan module (LSS-1).
February 15, 2012 at 2:06 am #1039029I was thinking I was going to need a T. SO it just plugs into the 3rd. plug in the back of the units right?
February 15, 2012 at 2:23 am #1039038If there is yellow plug on the back just run a ethernet cable between the 2 units

What units are you running? I would expect 4 plugs on the back. Power, Transducer, NMEA network, Ethernet. Before buying an ethernet cable, make sure you have the ethernet port on the back of both units.
February 16, 2012 at 11:53 am #1039569Shultz….One is a Lowrance 334c which has 3 plugs in the back and the other I think is a X-97. That only has 2 plugs, So I can’t plug into that one. There also a Global map back there that has connector back there for a network.
John SchultzInactivePortage, WIPosts: 3309February 16, 2012 at 12:54 pm #1039611I’m not sure if any of those have the ethernet plug on them. The ones that say network are for the NMEA network, which is different from the ethernet connections. I can’t seem to find a list of which Lowrance units have ethernet, but I’m pretty sure it was after those.
The ones with 3 plugs are probably Transducer, Power/Data, and NMEA Network. If I remember correctly from my old units, the NMEA network was added before ethernet, but I am not 100% sure.
February 16, 2012 at 4:30 pm #1039719Probably correct Shultzy….I guess I’m shist out of luck. Oh well…. I tried.
