Transfering waypoints from Lowrance to Lowrance

I am selling my boat with all the electronics on it. I would like to save all my waypoints obviously and then reset the units. I tried copying the waypoints to my handheld H2O but it says “unable to transfer software doesn’t match”??? I am selling my boat tomorrow and would like to get this done ASAP.

Is there another way to do this??? I guess I could save the data files on my computer and hope it works once I get my new electronics. But I would like to double check that the transfer worked so I can see them on my H2O. help please

What kind of unit are you taking the waypoints off?

A LMS 520c and a LMS 332c.

Ok. When you go to save the waypoints to the sd card, I believe there is an option for what version you want to save them in. You will want to go down a version, I think you are probably saving in 3.0 and you H2O cant handle them.

I will check something here quick but I am sure this is the issue.

That was the problem. I needed to save them to the 2.0 format and it worked perfect. Thank you very much.

Is there any need to save them in the 3.0 format. And I could just store the files on my computer?

Awesome, figured that was it Version 3.0 just saves more information with the waypoint like depth. There is really no benefit as all you want is the waypoint, you got the lakemap for telling you the depth lol.
