Last Saturday the wife and I were out fishing, we were in 27fow and the bow 27C went from 27 to 1.2 or so, stayed that way for two cycles of powering off and on, then came back to a accurate reading in about 20-30 minutes after that.

I’m using the Terrova’s transducer and checked all connecting I could reach, they were tight.

Unit ran well the rest of the day, and has ever since I got it in late 2007
The GPS feature worked fine during this.

Also the back 27C worked fine.

    Any idea’s???

Might be my chance to see how Lowrance’s customer service is lately, but I thought I’d ask here first.
    TIA

I have had the same issue with my 522. These units are sensitive to the amount of volts and I suspect that I have a weak starting battery plus it is not connected directly to my starting battery.

I have not proven my theory, but I believe a new battery and wiring direct to the battery will solve my proble.

Makes sense, was pretty windy out and if I have a connection that may be loose/dirty/etc it may have dropped voltage and when it got bounced a bit by the waves it made better contact again…maybe..:)

    Thanks.
