Lowrance Networking – 2 GPS Pucks?

Does anybody know if it’s possible to have two GPS pucks on the same network? And further, would it then be possible to have one be an LCG-4000 and another be a LGC-2000.

I know it’s kind of a goofy setup but I think I would like both of my units to network for waypoint sharing but have separate GPS sources.

Yes, and it’s very easy. Depending on what units/connectors you have…just add an adapter and plug in the 4000. I just did this to my 332’s. Then, you can go through your setup menu and pick which head unit you want to run which puck.

After a day of use, you’ll want to get rid of the 2000 for another 4000!

Also, are your units already on a network?

Post up which units you have. And the color connectors they are using.

If you have them on network now, adding a 4000 will take less than 5 minutes.

Sorry for the late reply, I have two LMS520s with the red connectors networked with the LGC4000 already. I have a LMS332 I just took off with a LGC2000…

I’m pretty sure you can do it on the HDS units. When I go into my network menu, it lists my LGC-4000, the internal from the HDS7, and the internal from the HDS5. I can select any of the three to use on either of the two units. I expect if I added another puck, it would just be another selectable network item. Don’t know for sure though as I only have the one puck.

Did the 4000 you have now use an adapter? If so, get the same adapter, connect that to terminated Y(remove terminator) on whichever 520 you have a terminated Y, add the T that comes with the 4000, and put the same terminator on the other end of the T.

If the 4000 will plug into the red connectors, then you won’t need an adapter. I can’t say for sure, i’m unsure of the different connectors on different units.
