520c Split Screen?

    I have a 520C.

I run the unit in split screen – GPS on the left and Sonar on the right. Since I first installed this unit back in 2007 or 2008, It has always run with the GPS side “In Focus”. Meaning when I hit the zoom in and zoom out buttons, the unit zooms the GPS. If I hit waypoint or drop and icon on a spot, just hit those buttons.

Last week, I must have re-set some setting. Now the sonar is in focus when the screen is split. If I hit the zoom in or zoom out, it zooms the sonar. It ignores any of the GPS buttons like waypoint. I need to go full screens GPS in order to make any change to the GPS side, then split the screens out again.

Does anyone know how to make the GPS side stay in focus? Driving me nuts. I have gone through every menu setting and didn’t see where this could be changed. Help!!!

    John,

I run mine in split screen too. Just hit the Page button twice. The focus will go back to the GPS side. Do it again and it goes back to Sonar, etc.

Yep, hit pages button twice. In the upper colum, the active screen (mapping or sonar) will be in blue. You can use this feature to adjust your sonar setting while in sonar, and mapping setting while in mapping. Very easy.

I am going off memory here, but you have to hit one of the buttons twice. I believe it is the “enter” button if memory serves me. You will see there is a blue “window” on the split that will switch sides of the screen.

I will check mine when I get home and double check it for you.
