Probably most have figured this out already but….A couple of weeks ago I had my boat to the shop to install down/side view…they updated my HDS-8 to 3.5. Last week while on IDO noticed that someone posted that the new update was now 4.0
After trying multiple times to do the update on my computer with no success, I remembered that on older units I could transfer data from one MMC card to another. Went to Cabela’s they had a 4.0 MMC card. Loaded it into their display unit along with my blank card and transferred the 4.0 update into the blank card and boy is it a worthwhile update. Makes the operation of the fishfinder so easy I might have time to actually do some fishing.
