I am trying to help my borhter in wiring hiw new LBS-1. I can’t recall exactly how I did mine so here where we sit.
We have the red & black wires ran though fuse panel. Does the yellow wire HAVE to also be connected? I was under the asumption only if ran directly to battery.
    Thanks in advance

I ran the yellow wire to a switch when I had the LBS-1 with

    LCX units.

If you don’t run it to a switch you won’t be able to power

it off when not in use.

I saw that on the wireing dia at the bottom of the page. if your unit doesn’t have an extra wire like the HDS units have hook to same power source as red wire I hope this all helps Stan

Thanks for the help and input guys. I think I just had a temporary brain melt down! Bottom line, whether switched or not, yellow is still part of the power and has to be hooked up. Manual leaves it a little unclear stating “it’s recomended that the yellow be hooked to a switch if powered directly from battery”. We ran power through switch, but stll had to connect yellow to same switch. Everythings is as it’s supose to be now.
