Help!..Lowrance LCS113HD Updates/Updating

    Is this something that can be dificult to find, or can it be done off a home PC.
    If it can be done,will I need to use a Windows based software program,or can it be done with a MAC.

    LCX-113c HD Update

    PC or Mac. Need an SD slot on your computer or a remote
    card reader with a blank card. (8 MB)

    I was told that I need to update the program in order to access the new chip I bought.

    Anyone else have or heard of this happening?

    And coming from someone who tried it, save yourself the headache and use a card UNDER 1gb in size for the update. I tried it with a 1gb, maybe 2gb card and it would not install. Had CS on the phone with me and conversation was getting “strained” until I talked to someone else who suggested installing the update on a smaller card.

    Downloaded onto a 256mb card and it went in without further troubles.

    and click run not save when asked on update,that will save some head aches too!
