I am setting up my HDS units and I need to tell the unit which sonar to install and I have several choices, I am thinking I need to be in one the of following settings:

    PTI-WSBL/PTI-WSU
    PT-WSBL/PTT-WSU
    PT-WSBL/PT-WSU

I think PT is pressure/temp and I think WSBL is water speed by land? What are the differences in these settings and what is the right one to be using?

Transom mount would be the HST-WSBL.

There is also a little silver tag on the connection end of the cable that indicates the model of the transducer it is.

Joe – Have you gotten to test your unit yet? Try using the shallow water settings also, OR use a custom setting and make sure all of your noise rejection and water clarity is set to off to start with. This will give you the maximum sensitivity. Then if you are getting to much “noise” in the river because of current, dirty water or because of other accessories, you can adjust from there.

I have yet to see an HDS that has had any noise/clutter issues, but I have not asked around either.

Good simple video. I think that deserves a sticky note.
